About the Open Data Policy Hub
The Open Data Policy Hub was created by the Sunlight Foundation’s Open Cities team in August 2018. Its purpose is to collect all of our resources related to open data policies on a single user-friendly website, replacing resources that had been scattered across five different websites.
This site is operated on a non-profit, non-governmental, non-partisan basis. Many of the resources here were developed as part of the What Works Cities project of Bloomberg Philanthropies.
For historical reference, you can access this site’s predecessor resources here:
- Public Policy for Public Data
- Open Data Policy Collection
- Open Data Policy Guidelines
- Open Data Policy Comparison: Best Practices
- Open Data Policy Wizard
